Canon PowerShot S100 Software
The new Canon S100 camera has many amazing new features, such as a CMOS sensor, DIGIC 5 Image Processor, built-in GPS, Canon Optical Image Stabilization technology, and multi-area white balance, just to name a few. With so many outstanding components to catch a buyer’s attention, it is no wonder that this camera’s accompanying software is often overlooked. This Canon PowerShot S100 software, however, is an incredible addition to an already great camera, and deserves more attention and praise.
Canon Digital Photo Professional
Canon Digital Photo Professional, or DPP, is software used for processing RAW images. This software only comes with Canon’s DSLR and PowerShot cameras.
Shooting in RAW mode rather than the standard JPEG allows you to capture uncompressed images that can later be processed on DPP software. RAW mode is generally the choice shooting option for professional photographers as it provides a wider range of variables to adjust manually on the computer, whereas JPEG images are preprocessed and compressed in the camera when the photo is taken. One great thing about the Canon S100 is that it allows you to shoot in both JPEG and RAW mode simultaneously, so you can see which function is best for your photos.
The DPP editing software can easily be integrated with Adobe Photo Deluxe, which also comes packaged with the Canon PowerShot S100 software. PhotoStitch
Another fascinating feature of Canon PowerShot S100 software is the PhotoStitch. This software component allows you to arrange multiple images in order to create a panoramic sequence with minimal effort. This software also allows you to crop and align photos easily.
Although the Canon S100’s other impressive features may overshadow its included software, it is this software that really allows you to obtain perfect photos.
